Many students have trouble when writing in English and do not write in paragraphs. It is very important to write in paragraphs as that is the normal, correct method of writing. It is also easier to read. Finally if your writing is organized in paragraphs it will be more organized. Below is an example of poor student writing.
My name is Kim Chul Soo.
My major is Electronic Engineering.
There are four people in my family.
My father, my mother, my sister and me.
I like basketball, soccor, and playing starcraft.
I live in sadang.
it is very far from school
I like Hanyang university.
I want to study hard this semester.
As you can see it is very simple and does not look like a paragraph. It looks like poetry, but it isn't poetry. When writing you should always use paragraphs. All books, newspapers, and magazines are written in paragraphs. Also if you visit English communities you will notice that everyone writes in paragraphs. Below is my introduction. You can see that it is written in paragraphs. Please write all of your entries in paragraphs.

Hi everyone,

My name is Mr. Handsome, or James Bond, or Mr. Homework. But you can also call me Sean. I'm from Canada and have been living in Seoul since 1997. I have been teaching at Hanyang University since September 2005. Before that I was teaching at Kookmin university and Seoul Women's University.

I enjoy designing and building web sites (I have 5). My favorite drink is Starbucks coffee and I go to starbucks every Saturday and Sunday to read books and drink coffee. I'm married with one daughter and one son. I look forward to reading your introductions.

I do not like sports or being outside. I prefer to stay inside and read books, work on my web sites, watch movies and play with my family. We also play many board games at home. My favorite board game is Scrabble, but I also like; monopoly, risk, & cranium. If I cannot play a board game, I will play card games. Some of my favorite card games are; hearts, cribbage, hand & foot, and poker.

Sean
